| Everyone in our organization possesses a passion about organ donation. The fact that most of us have had first hand experience being a recipient of a transplant helps in our efforts. There are currently over 99,000 men, women, young adults and children on the list for transplants. The largest group waiting is from 18 - 49 years of age. Last year more than 8,000 people died due to the lack of organs. Every person must be advised of their option to donate. By focusing on education and donor awareness, the Foundation is trying to inform everyone of the need for donors. All of us have the power to save lives. Last year over 28,000 lives were saved as a result of organ transplants. Please don't take your organs with you. Over 99,000 people just like you and someone you love desperately need them! |
